Great explanation it was very clear and concise! I wish more explained things as well as you did.
mine has an an air line going to them
What if I don’t have the valve for the can all I have is the connection for the low side with a gauge for the Freon
Everything ran good until i plugged the timing bypass back up now it runs terrible and hardly wants to start. Im at 0. Did i do something wrong?
Might have another problem!
thanks for the video, it looks alot easier then i thought
Thank youuu
So you can run the truck with a bad compressor? Full disclosure, yes I am stupid and believe that since it's tied to the serpentine belt, it will ruin other things
Depends what’s wrong with it. If it’s locked up, you will have to bypass it. If it just doesn’t work, then you can leave it.
@SuburbanRanch oh ok, thank you for the clarification. I'm dumb and generally misunderstand things haha. Thank you!
I'm so invested! I yelled "Yay!" When the hinge finally came off!
Yes! Thank you so much! I am replacing these exact things in my 1993 Chevy K1500 Suburban. Needed one more solid instructional video to helpe feel confident in what parts and tools I need. I'll be using your video when I do the repairs as well. You're amazing! Thanks for helping me learn how to do this for myself! It's so rewarding to do this stuff independently!
Whats up thanks for the resourceful video, i was able to install the ac, but i had a question the next day after the install i turn on the ac and it leaked all the ac gas, im assuming i probably didn’t connect the ac pressure switch cables right. One has a letter A and another B, can you let me know which one is power and the other ground? Please and thanks in advance.
Doing this right now, 😁 still like chkn the content
Where did you get the lower control arm from?
They are the original control arms just cleaned up. They do not make new ones, junk yards are your best bet.
I've never heard top dead center 10 degrees this is crazy shit
Finaly a video that makes sense
Play at 2x
Great content!!
When adding oil to the compressor os it necessary to rotate?
Would this be the same for a 1987 1/2 ton 4wd suburban?
Does it difference if i put tge oil only in the compressor
You think you could make a video on how to remove the lower control arm bushings? I have a pretty good idea on how to but I’m not 100% sure..
I actually had them done at a shop with a press
when I look on rock auto the control arms ball joints are riveted not bolted?
It looks like they may have changed the design. You would have to drill out the rivets.
Anyone if they could help but could this make it where your injectors stop spraying
If it was totally plugged up it might.
@@SuburbanRanch it was alittle plugged I found out what it was after replacing both injectors fuel filter and all seals for the injectors turns out I friend my injector motor taking off my battery so my computer died and wouldn’t let the injectors spray
Whatttttt nice video onest American something we don’t have any more made it simple fast and detailed. That’s the way you make a video.
Mine is a 93 Cheyenne with blue interior 🔥❤️
The only reason I was looking at this video was to find the trick to take the compressor rat without removing the clutch. That was cleverly bypassed, and the hard part of the job was already done clutch on this one we're working with is rusted and frozen I guess I'll cut the bolts.
Where could I find new bolts for this part? The bolts I have are rusted and stripped
Any hardware store
When removing the knurles from that pin, put the pin in a drill and spin it while holding sandpaper around it. You will get a cleaner, more rounded pin than what you will get from a grinder.
Good idea!
How often did you change the oil? Did you do it at a specific interval? Or when the OLM told you to change it? Thanks
I changed it every 5k miles
What about the front?
We did the front!
Easy to do when not on the vehicle
Same procedure on the vehicle, just harder to film!
Why not just replace the factory bushings with machined brass available on the net for $30. No need to mess with unplugging all that. You will have to watch a video taking the door apart some to change the bushings. I got really good at it trying to use the cast bushings that will fail immediately due to door pin holes No longer being round. The machined brass bushings will correct this and the doors will stay lined up.
how much friction modifier you put in? you said “just a little bit”?
I used the whole bottle, but it’s just a few ounces
thank you make more video.
i followed all your video todo my maintenance on my 2019 ford Raptor. Great video very informative. wish you all the best🙏🏻🙂
Awesome video. It makes sense
You're supposed to remove the tension on the ebrakes before trying to remove the rotor. VERY IMPORTANT. You remove that little rubber boot, and stick a screw driver inside and can adjust the tension. Watch other videos to see how, do not just bang the rotor!
The e-brake is not engaged, there is no tension. The reason the rotor won’t come off easily is due to corrosion between the face of the hub and the rotor.
Thanks for the video and for a very clear explanation this makes me more confident in working on my door, thanks.
Love how deliberate and clear your instructions are for each step. Most people probably have a very limited understanding of how an A/C system works. So without clear instruction it's easy to get confused and make mistakes. Thank you for doing this!
Great video. Would these part fit a 95 2 door Tahoe 4x4? Looking to up grade my front suspension.
I assume they would work on a 1995 Tahoe, but I’d go to the Mevotech website and double check.
Off the topic, will Gen 1 882 heads work on a 1992 G20 350?
I’m not sure. Sorry!
You mentioned changing the oil more regularly than what Lexus recommends. Is there any reason or motivation for Lexus to recommend every 10K miles instead of 5K miles? I would think their engineers would know what's best for their car unless there is some ulterior motive of theirs that you have a theory on.
10k mile oil changes are a great selling feature (less maintenance cost), but that’s a long time to run the oil. There are plenty of engine tear down videos on cars that have long oil change intervals on UA-cam if you want to learn more. It’s pretty cheap/easy to do it at 5k mile intervals.
@@SuburbanRanch makes sense. Thank you.
Where did you find this part?
Amazon. Link in the description
Doing this to my 2017 F-150 fixed my vibration/shudder issue on the accelerator pedal. Thank goodness that fixed my issue.
What is removing and replacing time
3hrs but we went kinda slow
Thanks
Why does my 94 have the standard r134 fill connect I've been trying too get my ac going but my clutch won't engage I thought it was bc it was outta freon so I tried filling it it read empty and when I squeezed the trigger it went too over filled but I didn't hardly put any freon in lol
Dude step one you stink
Great install! How much was it to have the seatbelts redone? Approximately.
It was about $500
@@SuburbanRanch Thanks
This is the one i was looking for! thank you for the playlist From a new obs owner. with a shot front end.
I need to redo my front end as well . Do you have like a parts list? I don’t have much experience but I would like to completely redo everything like you have done. great job !
Part numbers are always in our videos description
@@SuburbanRanch I was also looking around your uploads do you have any footage of when you removed and resurfaced everything and painted the frame? I thought I saw it in the past but i could be wrong.
We didn’t remove everything, just the bed. The only video we have is of a paint review where we had the front end sandblasted. We ended up using Rustoleum primer and paint. ua-cam.com/video/yOBWabKCQzg/v-deo.html
Hello, this is a exhaust kit? Do you have a part number of this kit? Tanks
You’ll have to check the walker website for the part numbers that fit your application, there are lots of different configurations.
He for got to mention that you want the valve you’re adjusting to be at the bottom of your cam before tightening
Yes, that is correct
